Dads and father figures from across Ventura County are invited to attend the 3rd Annual Ventura County Fatherhood Summit on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM at Rio Del Valle Middle School, for an afternoon focused on strengthening families, building community, and supporting fathers in their parenting journey.


Hosted by Ventura County Child Support Services and community organization partners — including the Rio School District, First 5 Ventura County, Hope & Comfort, Chase Bank, United Parents, Rainbow Connection, and the Port of Hueneme — the free event will bring together dads for interactive workshops, meaningful conversations, and access to valuable local resources designed to support healthy families and strong communities.


The summit will feature engaging sessions on important topics such as fatherhood, parenting, wellness, mental health, communication, and personal growth.


“This summit is about bringing fathers together, recognizing their impact, and making sure they know they are not alone,” said Marcus Mitchell, Director of the Ventura County Department of Child Support Services. “When fathers are supported, families In addition to educational sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a community resource fair featuring organizations and service providers from across Ventura County.


Participating agencies will offer information about family services, health and wellness programs, education resources, employment support, and other community-based services available to local families.


The event is designed to celebrate the important role fathers and father figures play in the lives of children while creating a welcoming space for connection, encouragement, and support.


The event is free and open to the public. Free childcare and dinner will be provided.
