Last Sunday, September 11, at about 2:50 pm a man was run over by a vehicle near the intersection of Gisler Ave. and Poplar St. in Oxnard, as he was riding his bicycle. Several good Samaritans stop to provide him help before emergency personnel showed up.
The Oxnard Police Department has stated that there has been an increase of these type of cases that primarily are due to negligence and distracted drivers.
