On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at about 5:35 PM, Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) observed Jesus Oy and Lianette Avila conduct a hand-to-hand narcotics transaction in the 100 block of Bryce Canyon Avenue. Investigators conducted a traffic stop of Oy in the 3100 block of Saviers Road, and found Oy to be in possession of bulk quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine.
During this investigation, Oy was also found to have a large amount of currency, and other indicia of drug sales. Avila attempted to conceal a large quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine on her person, however it was ultimately located. Both Oy and Avila were arrested for numerous narcotics violations, and were booked into the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office jail. This arrest is Oy’s third drug sales arrest in the last 2 years, and Oy is currently out of custody, on bail, for a weapons and drug sales arrest.
