On Thursday, September 21, at about 11:15 pm., the Oxnard Police officers responded to San Gorgonio Avenue & Featherstone Street, Oxnard, regarding an illegally parked vehicle. Officers attempted to make contact with the lone occupant, Irma Garcia, a 38 year old Oxnard Resident, and in doing so observed a box of ammunition inside the vehicle. Garcia was escorted from the vehicle and officers learned that she was in possession of a loaded .38 caliber revolver. Garcia was arrested for multiple firearms violations.
Police is unaware of the reason why this woman was at that place, at that time and with a loaded gun.
