Social media influencer, Paige Spiranac, is giving lessons on an Instagram video from a golf course that involves racy content in her own golf attire how to swing a golf club.
Spiranac has a following of 3.7 million on Instagram and 872,000 followers on Twitter, which she is known for golf. She attended the University of Arizona then transferred to San Diego State in her sophomore year of college.
The Cactus Tour was Spiranac’s professional debut where she won her third start in a sudden-death win at Scott’s Orange Tree Country Club over Hannah O’Sullivan.
In her video on Instagram and Twitter, it starts with Spiranac on the golf course giving an explanation in a 22-second clip how to swing the golf club.
Her intended audience was mainly for females and female golfers that would relate to her.
Spiranac wears both appropriate and racy attire in the video.
“How to swing with a big chest. In all seriousness I get this question a ton so hopefully this helps,” Spiranac said in the video.
She gives three different steps in the video:
- Stand farther away
- Tuck right (back) arm
- Lay left (front) arm on
“Bombs away she says,” with a laugh in the video after smashing a golf ball with the technique.
The video received over 572,000 views on Twitter and close to 4 million views on Instagram with over 202,000 likes.
“I need a model, not a better golf swing. Sorry. That was my father’s generation and apparently some were pretty good at it (CPGA),” A male Twitter follower replied to her viewed her video. “Art/animation is my passion and teaching it is my profession. I would still love to include a painting of you in my upcoming book. Please let me know.”
Her audience that commented on her swing was most males that had most of her attention.
“So many growing pains. I was burnt out of, I wouldn’t say golf, just dedicating my life to something and not really seeing the results. With gymnastics, it was hard because I was fighting injuries and then with golf — golf is such an interesting sport because you can work out, eat right, practice and still not achieve your goals. That was something for me that I just couldn’t wrap my head around,” Spiranac said in a podcast.
Many of her Twitter followers had either complimented on her golf skills, praised by many, and criticized by some that included the male follower on Twitter.
“My mom and myself hired a male golf pro to teach us how to play golf. We’ve been working with him for several years now. I do specifically remember asking him this question, ‘are you supposed to squeeze them together or lay your arms on top.” As a man, he couldn’t answer my question. Too funny,” a female Instagram follower said.
