On Wednesday, April 20, 2022 the Ventura County Money Laundering Task Force (VCMLTF) completed an investigation into the allege narcotics sales occurring at two residences in the 300 block of North Garfield Avenue and one residence in the 300 block of North Roosevelt Avenue. 

With the assistance of the Oxnard SWAT team, Oxnard Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Unit (UAV), Ventura SWAT Team, Ventura County Sheriffs, and Special Agents from the FBI, VCMLTF served a search warrant at all three locations. During a search of the residences, detectives located a large quantity of Cocaine, five firearms, and further evidence of narcotics sales.

Arturo Guzman a 58-year-old Oxnard resident, was placed under arrest for several narcotics and firearm related charges, all felonies. Gerardo Vega a 54-year-old Oxnard was also placed under arrest for several narcotics and firearm related charges, all felonies. Both subjects were booked into the Ventura County Jail with a bail request of $250,000. The Ventura County Money Laundering Task Force (VCMLTF) is comprised of the Oxnard Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Detectives and Special Agents from the FBI.
