On Saturday, September 11, at around 1:02 a.m., officers were dispatched to a call of gunshots heard in the south alley of the 1200 block Hull Place in Oxnard. Officers on scene located a crime scene but no victim. Approximately 30 minutes later, a gunshot man in his early 40’s arrived at St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard. The victim had a gunshot wound to his lower body and was listed in serious condition. The Violent Crimes Unit was called out and is investigating the shooting incident.
