A Ventura woman has been charged with felony possession of drugs for transportation and sale by Oxnard police detectives assigned to the department’s Drug Enforcement Unit.

Vonda Shrader, 54, was arrested on Aug. 6 after Oxnard detectives watching her in East Main Street saw an apparent drug deal go down in Shrader’s vehicle.

K9 Deco and two additional Ventura patrol officers responded to assist DEU detectives in their investigation. The driver, Vonda Shrader, was pulled over and found to be on probation for narcotics related offenses. A search of the vehicle pursuant to her search terms was conducted and a large quantity of Methamphetamine was located concealed in a void behind panels in the vehicle. Additionally, officers located what appeared to be pure Fentanyl in the vehicle.    Vonda Shrader was arrested for possession for sales and transportation of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, all felonies.
