Three suspects involved in a catalytic converter theft arrested for grand theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

On Thursday, 04-01-2021, deputies from the Camarillo Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a theft of a catalytic converter. The victim’s neighbor was able to provide a description of the suspect vehicle and the direction of travel.

Camarillo Patrol Deputies located the vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. While contacting the three occupants, deputies observed multiple catalytic converters and multiple saw blades in the rear of the vehicle.

A complete search of the vehicle was conducted and five catalytic converters were recovered. A Dewalt saw with multiple red blades, three sets of gloves and a usable quantity of heroin were also found inside the suspect vehicle.

All three suspects Luis Bidriezca, 25 years, Los Angeles resident, Larry Garcia, 21 years,  Los Angeles resident, and Byron Lopez, 22 years, Los Angeles resident, were arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for PC 487(a)- Grand Theft , PC 496(a)- Possession of Stolen Property Over $950, PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, and PC 466(a)- Possession of Burglary Tools.

Camarillo Detectives located and returned some of the stolen property back to the original owners.
