On Thursday, January 7, 2021, at approximately 7:50 PM the Port Hueneme Police Dispatch Center received several calls in reference to an altercation in the 100 block of Seaspray Way. Responding Officers were advised that the altercation involved an axe/hatchet type weapon. Officers arrived within two minutes and located three victims suffering from serious wounds. Numerous fire and ambulance units were requested to assist with providing emergency medical aid to the victims. Once on scene, Officers immediately located the suspect, identified as Gregory Brewer (31-year-old Port Hueneme resident), and took him into custody without incident.
The victims are all residents of Port Hueneme and live in the Anacapa Beach Homes complex. One victim is listed in critical condition with significant head injuries, while the other two victims are listed in stable condition.
