Applications are now being accepted for the City of Ventura’s 2021 Cultural Funding Grant Program, which is awarded annually to support locally based nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. 

Grants range in size from $1,000 to $20,000 and are awarded on a competitive basis with a total of $90,000 available. Funds are unrestricted and can be used for organizational support, programming, and services.

Developed in 1993, the City of Ventura Cultural Funding Grant Program supports economic development, increases tourism, and enhances lifelong learning opportunities for participants of all ages in the arts.

Organizations whose real annual budgets are less than $10,000 are eligible to request up to $1,000. All other requests may not exceed 10% of the organization’s annual budget. Nonprofit organizations are required to provide proof of their 501(c)(3) status or that of their Ventura County-based fiscal agent(s).
