During the months of May and June 2020, detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit and Sheriff’s Narcotics Street Team concluded an investigation into illegal narcotics activity involving a residence in the City of Oxnard.



On Wednesday, 6/03/2020, at about 3:15 PM, detectives with executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 500 block of Percy Street in Oxnard. The warrant came at the conclusion of a drug investigation. During the warrant service, (S) Roman Hernandez, 39 years, Oxnard resident, was located inside the residence allegedly attempting to destroy evidence. Controlled substances intended for distribution along with a loaded 9mm handgun were located inside the residence during a search. Roman Hernandez is a convicted felon, sex registrant, and prohibited from owning or possessing firearms.
Roman Hernandez was arrested for several felony weapons and drug offenses. He was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility. On Thursday, 6/04/2020, Hernandez was released after posting bail.
